Hailing from Whanganui, Chiro and the Wondering Bards are a theatrical musical experience where storytelling, colourful characters and catchy songs come together to explore the strange, beautiful and sometimes confusing game of life.

Their songs question reality and the everyday struggle of trying to understand what is really going on around us. Through playful storytelling, infectious melodies and theatrical performance, the Wondering Bards invite audiences to look beyond the surface, question what they think they know, and wonder about the bigger picture.

Their music travels through the universal language of rhythm, melody and story — exploring the highs, lows, twists and turns of being human and the many ways we learn to navigate them.

Part concert, part storytelling, and part theatrical journey, a Wondering Bards performance is an invitation to laugh, think, move and wonder. Their colourful and catchy songs create a shared space where audiences can step outside the ordinary and enter a world of curiosity, imagination and possibility.

Come for the music. Stay for the story. And leave wondering what the game was really about.
