Description

Sophie is a 14 year old born and bred in Whanganui, New Zealand resident and lover of Country music! Her passion started as soon as she could sing at 7yo, entering talent competitions and performing at festivals all over New Zealand.
Self-taught on guitar, the more she practised the better she got and at the age of 9yo, Sophie entered the New Zealand Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year Awards!
That year she took home the Junior Entertainer of the Year Award and she won it again in 2020 and 2023.
Inspired, Sophie travelled to Gore and entered the MLT NZ Gold Guitar Awards and won the Junior Gold Guitar. She returned in 2023 as a guest artist and in 2024 she Won the Intermediate Award!
Brimming with confidence, Sophie is looking forward to her experience at the Tamworth Country Music Festival and we are excited to have her at Tamworth City Bowling Club on Wed 22nd January at 6:15pm!
